Our Story
Founded in 2025, Scoops and Loops was created with a simple mission: to build a cozy, local destination celebrating the best sweet treats Brookings, South Dakota has to offer.
We started by scooping legendary South Dakota State University ice cream alongside favorites from other local makers. Before long, we partnered with Stensland Family Farms to expand our lineup—bringing our total rotating flavor library to over 100 delicious options! On any given day, you’ll find 24 fresh flavors ready to dip in-store, with even more available for special order.
To make things even sweeter, we recently introduced our own scratch-made baked goods, and they’ve quickly become a fan favorite. As we continue to dream big and grow, we created this website to make bulk pre-ordering seamless for your special events, celebrations, and everyday cravings.

About the Owner
Hi I am Ava Boeve! I love spending time with my husband, Tyson, and our daughter, Maya, who you will most likely find with me at work! I was born and raised right here in Brookings, Marrying my middle school sweetheart and Graduating from SDSU in 2024. When I am not at work you will find me playing at the park with Maya, finding new recipes to try, or reading a book! Here at Scoops and Loops I work to create a second home that welcomes in every individual. I take pride in each and every one of my amazing staff members and every sweet treat we serve.
